Photograph is nothing, it's life that interests me.

I'm always in love with film and old photograph especially black and white. I find it so charming. A few pictures which I selected  below are my father's . I used my father's photos actually because he's the only one in our family who has kinda old  film photos. They were all taken like 30 years ago. Do you agree with me that these are beautiful?

I think the younger one is my dad and the other is his brother. they grew up in their father's boxing camp which I think it's so cool.

 my dad's brother and mother.

dad's family and the neighbors. Lovely..

brothers , sisters of my dad. That smiling face is dad's. It's surprising to see dad smiling so happily. Now, he's turned to a quite serious old guy.

"Photograph is nothing, it's life that interests me"

The title of this post was said by Henri Cartier-Bresson, a french photographer. I've never thought like this before I saw the quote.  I saw it and then,I thought hey! This is true. We may be amazed by the photograph technique and the amazing light but finally something photographers want to send to us through photos is the most important thing. This may not be really about the quote, it's just what I was inspired by Cartier-Bresson.

Girl

This lovely little girl I saw a year ago  was helping her mommy selling nuts. I just found the photos from dad's computer and yes, this was taken by him. She looked like a korean girl may be because she was wearing korean clothes! I somehow really like her :-)

it is good to be back.

the homework is done so I can blog gain. I think I'm talkative no more after ignoring this blog for a long time but it still feels quite good to do this again!

The Giant Turnip Time - (from Nic's fanpage)

The party's theme is pirate!! at first when we arrived at Nic's, I found the place amazing and really lovely especially the pirate boat! We decorated the playground area with rainbows , balloons and colorful bunting flags. Then, we prepared the art corner. In the evening, I never thought there would be so many foreigners living in Chiangmai when the kids and their parents started coming. They immediately headed  to the boat and played the pirate pretending game. Some of the boys loved balloon popping so, they poped all the balloons and begged us to blow more balloons but there would never be enough balloons for them haha

There were a few activities we prepared for the kids : ball throwing (actually throwing the balls to one another including the staffs), paper scissor rock, quiz, the giant turnip play, hand printing on the wall and scarf painting still it made us, the staffs, dead tired!  I was nervous about the play ,the kids might not understand us because we are not good at English. But It went so much better than I would ever think. They had a lot of fun and even wanted to be the turnip lol.

After all the activities when we were resting, a few boys invited me and Ploy to join their chasing game. Oh man, that was real fun. It was a bit confusing that we always were the chasers and the kids ran so fast. They were such powerful kids. When I was thinking that the game would never end, luckily They forgot us and continued playing the game themself thank god !!

The kids still had fun until 9 pm while we were dead in our car. The party ended up perfect. We finished!  This was my first job ever and I am quite proud of myself haha

I think I may have opportunities to be a staff at Nic's  parties in the future. That would be fun!

Nic's Restaurant and Playground

I've spent half a day at Nic's opening party as a staff today. This restaurant looked so beautiful and its playground is damn cool with the giant pirate boat! I'm dying to have one at my place.I'm going to post more pics and talk about the party tomorrow!

I stole the boat's picture from Nic's facebook page which you can click to see it here.

The Lost Book Shop and Harry Potter

I started to try reading english novels for a while (What I've read :The Little Princess, Jane Eyre in summarized versions and have thai meanings of the words beside the story each page). Yesterday,  I bought Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone from a second hand book shop named 'The Lost Book Shop' near Tha Phae Gate. I really love the atmosphere inside the shop. I wish I could have my own library that looks like that.

I hope I can post some pictures of the book shop later...!

Woops !

Just a greeting post nothing important the  pictures above are real bad quality and fast taken just five minutes ago. The book in the 1st picture is The Diary of Anne Frank which I read repeatedly and The two magazines below  are bought today with my all pocket money! one is Cheeze on street magazine (I'm a sucker for street fashion), the other is Khor Khon magazine (ฅ.คน) which has many good articles and interviews inside. Don't you think I am a book worm.I was one still I find it harder to read good books when I'm now very addicted to the internet. I hope I can get that life back soon.

As you see,I was kind of lost about my blog but I am a better blogger now hopefully. It means I know what to write more than the posts before this. I'm a little bit worried whether no one read my blog but someone said that we should make a blog because we are happy to make it not because we want a lot of followers. So, I will just be relax, try to find more cool stuffs to share here (and may be advertise it a little bit!!!  I would be so sad if no one saw what I want to share)
